Art and Illustrations by Amy H. Robinson

I’m all for sharing this one.

So do you want to hear a story?

My husband and I met 10 years ago, and we celebrated our seventh anniversary this weekend.

I found the image which inspired this drawing from a simple google search.  You could find it and draw it too.

But what appealed to me enough to draw it is the confidence in the woman’s body, the way she stood on a rock, and he leaned up – slightly – to kiss her.  It’s not major lust, it’s not dramatic… it’s a simple reach for a peaceful joyful love.  That’s what I liked about it.

As I drew it I had to stop when it came to filling in the faces. This is both my favorite and least favorite part of the drawing.  But I left it based upon this impulse: that you don’t know where the man leaves off and the woman begins – and vice versa.

I hope you enjoy it.
